As the PVC downstream consumer market is

expanding year by year, the PVC industry in India has a greater opportunity for

development. According to Rajesh Deshpande, the growth of the downstream

consumer market for PVC products in India is due to many aspects. The government's

investment in infrastructure construction has increased year by year.

Statistics show that the "12th Five-Year" period, the India

government investment in infrastructure construction will reach $890 billion;

the construction of rural infrastructure development fund increased to $3

billion 500 million; for rural drinking water and sanitation investment budget

of $2 billion 500 million; it will invest $53 million to strengthen the

construction of irrigation system; in the Delhi Mumbai industrial corridor,

will invest $90 billion for the construction of large-scale infrastructure, the

Japanese government sponsored 4 billion 500 million dollars.

Although the gap between supply and demand is

large, the PVC industry in India is facing certain challenges due to the

greater competitive advantage of the imported products. Rajesh Deshpande

admitted that the development of India PVC industry there are still some

problems: for example, the user also failed to see the plastic pipe material

pipe compared with the traditional advantage; environmentalists and

non-governmental organizations from the perspective of environmental hazards of

plastic pipe production enterprises do not harm; focus on its product quality

control etc.. Therefore, in order to achieve sustainable development in India

PVC industry, we must constantly develop new products, new technologies, and

pay more attention to the recycling and reuse of PVC supplies.

With stable physical and chemical properties,

insoluble in water, alcohol, gasoline, gas and water vapor permeability is low;

under normal temperature for any concentration of hydrochloric acid, sulfuric

acid, 90% of the 50 - 60% nitric acid and 20% following caustic soda solution,

with certain chemical corrosion resistance; for salt is quite stable, but can

dissolved in ether, ketone, chlorinated aliphatic hydrocarbons and aromatic

hydrocarbons and other organic solvents.

HPVC/SBR blend thermoplastic elastomer

The main industry of PVC resin is amorphous

structure, but also contains some crystal region (about 5%), so the PVC has no

obvious melting point, about 80 degrees Celsius to soften the heat deformation

temperature (1.82MPa load) is 70-71 DEG, 150 DEG C to flow under pressure, The biggest

feature of PVC is flame retardancy, so it is widely used in fire protection.

But PVC releases hydrogen chloride and other toxic gases, such as dioxin,

during the combustion process.

The combustion of PVC is divided into two

steps. First, the hydrogen chloride gas and the dienes containing double bonds

are decomposed at 240 C -340 C, and then carbon combustion occurs at 400-470.

It is one of the most productive plastic

products in the world. It is cheap and widely used. PVC resin is white or light

yellow powder. Different additives can be added to different uses. PVC plastics

can show different physical and mechanical properties. A proper amount of

plasticizer is added to PVC resin, which can be made into a variety of hard,

soft and transparent products.

The density of pure PVC is 1.4g/cm3, and the

density of PVC plastic parts with plasticizer and filler is generally

1.15-2.00g/cm3.

Hard polyvinyl chloride has good tensile,

bending, compression and impact resistance, and can be used as a structural

material alone.

The softness, elongation at break and cold

resistance of soft PVC will increase, but the brittleness, hardness and tensile

strength will be reduced.

PVC has good electrical insulation property,

can be used as low frequency insulating material, and its chemical stability is

also good. Due to the poor thermal stability of PVC, long time heating will

lead to decomposition, releasing HCL gas and making polyvinyl chloride

discolouration, so its application scope is narrow, and its service temperature

is usually between -15~55 C.
